Sword Art Online Chapter 2 Beater

Since the game began a whole month has gone by, and 2000 people have died so far. After all this time none of the players have bin able to clear floor 1. I used to be a beta tester and even I haven't found out where the bosses layer is and today finally were having a meeting to figure out where its located. "Ok people now that everyone is here lets get this meeting started" the man said on the stage clapping his hands together repeatedly, I sat down on the stone bleacher and listened to what the man had to say. "So anyway I wanna thank everyone for coming out today,good to see you my name is Ash and in this game the job I role is knight!" he said hitting his chest with his fist. His skin was grey like mine and he had a white mohawk "dude there's no job system in this game!" people said laughing,I could tell already he was winning people over. "Do you guys wanna hear this or not?" ash said trying to calm everyone down from laughing at him "right anyway here's the deal our party found the boss room on top of the tower today" he said and people were shocked "first we need to defeat the boss and make it to floor two, next we have to tell everyone waiting in the down of beginnings that it is possible to beat this game! Fact is its our duty as the most capable players here! Do you agree or not?!" ashed shouted and people nodded in agreement. I was actually amazed this guy knew what he was talking about.

"Ok glad to hear your all with me on this but now let figure out how were gonna beat the boss , first off we'll team up into parties of six" he said and my smile soon faded,I looked around and people were already in groups,I looked around and couldn't find anybody "a typical party doesn't stand a chance against a floor boss,we need a raid group of multiple parties" he said and I kept looking,nobody seemed to be available. I turned my head a saw someone wearing a light blue cape and their face wasn't visible but I saw a sword poking out from their cape. I scooted towards them and then stopped "you got left out too huh?" I asked "not even I wasn't left out it just seems that everyone is already friends" the person said and from the way they sounded I could tell it was a girl "so your solo to? You wanna form a party with me?" I asked curiously and afraid of rejection "you heard what the guy just said we can't beat the boss on our own and it would only be for this fight" I said hoping i'd convinced her. She nodded once and I sent her a party invite.

I watched her click the accept button and a life bar appeared under mine,he user name was Fi. Kinda strange but I ignored it "alright it seems that everyone has teamed up,now then" "hold up a sec!" someone interrupted him. A round guy with purple hair and light purple skin ran down the steps and towards the front. "My names LSP got that! Before we take on the boss I wanna get something straight! We all know about the 2000 people who died so far yea? Well some of you need to apologize to them right now!" he said pointing at the crowed and people were taken back by what he just said even me "LSP I thing I know who your referring to,you mean the ones who are ex-beta testers right?" ash asked "course I mean them! The day this stupid ass game started the beta guys just got up and vanished am I right leaving all of us beginners! They snagged all the good hunting spots and they grabbed all the easy quest to they were the only ones getting stronger in here. This whole time they've ignored us treating us like were nothing!" he said angrily "hell I think there's some of them here! Come on out beta testers! We should make them apologize to us! And we should make them give up all their money and the items they got! They can't expect the party to trust them when they don't trust us why should we!" LSP said angrily and crossed his arms.

I felt guilty and was about to stand up and give up my items but a voice rang out over the arguing crowed that was bickering and turning on each other "can I say something?" a man raised his arm and stood up. He was huge and muscular with yellow few and a jowl so he must'v bin a dog,he had armor on and a huge ax across his back "hey my names jake,lsp right? I wanna make sure i'm on the same page,you think the ex-beta testers are the blame for the rookies death because they didn't help them and you want them to apologize and give up their winnings, I leave anything out?" he asked is a peaceful tone,I have to admit I did feel a bit better "no,you didn't" lsp said with a smart aleck tone. "The item store handed these out for free,its a guide book you got one didn't you?" he asked in a questionable tone "sure I got one what about it?" lsp said thinking the man in front of him was an idiot  "you know who was handing these out the ex-beta testers" jake said and people were in shock . LSP scowled "listen up everybody,everyone had equal access to this information even so lots of players still died,now I didn't come here to point fingers at anyone i'm here because I wanna learn from them players deaths,i'm here because I wanna find out how were gonna beat the boss" jake said calmly and people because to chat among themselves.

He was right,that's basically the same reason i'm here to. LSP scowled at jake and took a seat on the front row with folded arms and pouted. "Ok can we get back to the meeting now?" ash asked and took out his guide book "for info on the boss its all in here" he said holding his book up "the latest issue of the guide book you'v just heard about,according to the book the bosses name is ilfang to colted lord,also he'll be surrounded by his minions the centinals ilfang carries an ax and a buckler. He has four health bars and when the last one turns red he switches to a curved sword type  weapon called an talword,he can change is pattern of attacks too" ash said closing his book,people began to chatter even more "that's it for this meeting,as for the distribution of loot money will be dived equally between each party the party that defeats the boss gets the XP and whoever gets an item gets to keep it,an objections?" ash asked and nobody spoke "good! We leave tomorrow at ten in the morning!" ash announced proudly "meeting adjourned people" he said and people got up and left I looked over at fi and she'd done gotten up and was walking away. That night there was a huge party in the center of town people were drinking,eating,dancing and laughing but I stayed out of it.

I turned a corner and saw fi sitting on a stone step eating a piece of freshly baked bread "those are pretty good aren't they?" I asked and sat down beside her,she scooted away a bit probably thinking I was gonna take her food but then I took my loaf out and she seemed to settle down a bit. "You really think these taste good?" she asked me "yea" I say opening up my items and clicking on a jar like symbol. A small jar appeared "I use this trick to make it taste better though" "what trick?" "Try some" I said and slid the jar towards her. She placed her finger on the tip of the jar and a faint blue glow appears,she waved her hand over to load of bread and red jam appeared "jam?" she asked curiously "yea" I said with a smirk, I put some on my loaf and sank my fangs into the sweet red substance,only thing I could see was her mouth from under her hood "your a vampire?" she asked calmly "yep,the vampire king actually" "that's cool" she said and took a bite out her bread. It was soon gone when she took three more bites,I guess she was really hungry or the jam made it taste better. "I got it from the heffers strikes back quest,its in the village next to this one wanna know how I did it?" I asked with a smirk,she shook her head "I appreciate the offer but I didn't come to this town to try its good food" "ok,why are you here?" "so I don't lose sight on who I am,I don't wanna lock myself in a room in the town of beginnings and slowly rot away i'd rather stay the way I am till the last moment" she said and I just stared at her,I could tell she had a goal. A goal to get out of this game.

"Even if a monster beats me and I die I want lose to this game or this world no matter what " she said and entwined her fingers "I wouldn't want a party member dying on me,so try not to die tomorrow" I asked and I watched her get up. She walked away and that was the last I saw of her that night. The Parties met at the boss door and ash soon walked to the front and stuck his sword in the ground "listen up everyone lets win!" ash said and everyone cheered. On our way up me and fi talked about tapping. Tapping is when you and your team mates switch places so the other can get rest. Ash opened the doors and everyone walked in. The room lit up and mostly everything looked stain glassed. A huge boar like creature with horns sat on a thrown and soon sat up. It yelled a cry of battle and everyone got into position. It jumped up and landed in front of us,its minions rushed out and it had its ax at the ready. It swung its ax wildly and the strongest players took it on while some of the weak ones took on its minions. When some of its bars went down and it was down to one more it drew a weapon and it wasn't a talword! Ash charged at the creature and he seemed to notice this to,with one swing he was hit in the chest and ash went flying across the floor. "Ash!" I called out and ran to his side. He was holding his chest and I watched as his health bar decreased,I took out a vile of healing medicine and was about to give it to him but he grabbed me wrist.

"You were after the last attack bonus weren't you?" I asked and he smirked "yea"  my eyes widened "you were a beta tester weren't you? Your like me?" I asked and he smiled "yea,it seem I was figured out and yea seems there were two beta testers all this time" ash said with a smirk "marsh please win" he said and burst into blue that soon scattered away. I jumped up and clenched my fist. Everyone fell back "marsh don't!" jake called out and I was soon joined by fi. We ran towards the monster and dodged all its attacks "switch!" I called out and fi ran ahead of me. The monster brought up its weapon and was about to hit fi "Fi watch out!" I screamed but the sword caught her cape and ripped it off. She had long blond hair and her her bangs were in a braid she had on a white long shirt with a blue vest and a blue skirt and brown boots. She was a human. She brought her sword back and stab the creature several times in the stomach "switch!" she yelled and I ran ahead of her. I dodged several times and we both hit him in the stomach. The monster went back and I ran after him I jumped up and stabbed him in the head. He burst into blue shards and scattered a huge "CONGRATULATIONS" sign appeared and a small screen appeared in front of me "you get the rare item" it said and I clicked accept another screen appeared and it read "the coat of midnight has bin added to your items". People just stared at me and didn't say a word, they soon burst out in cheers and applause "nice job" fi said walking up behind me and smiling "that was some fine swordsman ship" jake said walking up beside fi.

"congratulations todays victory is all because of you" he said happily "wait!" someone shouted and lsp ran up to the front "he's no hero he's a beta! No he's worst than that he's a beater!" lsp yelled and pointed at me. "Shut up he saved us!" "he let ash die!" "ash got himself killed!" fi and lsp argued back and fourth. I began to chuckle that soon turned into laughter "Beater I like how that sounds" I said with a smirk and went to my menu. I clicked the coat of midnight and it appeared on me. It was a long black coat with some brown on the shoulders "true I was a beta tester" I said turned to all of them "and I know a lot more than you do! I went to levels higher then this one all by myself,so yea i'm a beater and I don't need any of you!" I said and walked up the steps that let to the next level "marsh wait!" I head fi call after me and run up the steps "what do you want fi?" I asked her and she seemed a bit taken back "how do you know my name?" "from your health bar when you joined my party" I said with a smirk and went to the menu. A small screen appeared in front of fi that read "marsh has left the party" "if a strong team ever ask you to join do,your a good fighter" I said with a smirk and looked at her. She giggled and smiled sweetly "thank you marsh" she said happily.  I smiled and left,and that was the last I was of fi...
